Total natural gas liquids (NGL) is often reportedin the balance sheets or distorted world oil prices, but also up to 13% of world oil supply in 2009. With the generous support of a voluntary contribution from the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy, the oil industry of the IEAand Markets (OIMD) was able to review existing data sources and methodology NGL. Ourobjective was to evaluate in detail the prospects for world supply and gas production capacity of NGL extraction and liquid natural change.
This report provides a comprehensive review ofNGL and condensate data and other estimatesOIMD, and clarifies the terms and definitions fornatural gas liquids used in the report on the oil market of the IEA (OMR) and medium Term Oil Market Report (MTOMR) and other statisticalpublications of the IEA. It also highlights issues ofdata quality on the NGL production and use, and provides a forecast of supply and a detailed analysis of the 2008-2015 medium-term trends.
